Overview

The News Content Management System (CMS) allows departments to publish news items on the BU Web. Contributors add news items and administrators approve them. Once the news item is approved and its publish date arrives, the item is published on several areas of your website.

What is a news item?

A news item can be any announcement or article that the department wants to to publish on the BU Web. A news item can contain any type of content, including HTML formatting and photographs.

Note: If you want to promote an event, you probably want to publish the event on the BU Calendar, rather than publish it as a news item. News items will not appear on the BU Calendar.
