News Item Locking
When you edit a new item, the News CMS locks the item, so that no one else can edit the item while you are editing. The following message is displayed at the top of the Edit News Item page:
To make the item available for others to edit, you must Save it or close it by going to another area of the News CMS site, going to another site, or closing the browser window.
When you open an item that is being edited by another user, the following message is displayed and the item cannot be edited:
News CMS checks periodically to see if the item still is being edited by someone else. Once the item becomes available, the following message is displayed and the item can be edited:
