Alert Viewer System Tray (AVST) is a client-based application developed by Education Networks of America. When the client computer detects an alert broadcast message from the central server, the alert pops up from the Windows system tray. The user clicks the pop-up window to read more information.
Audience
Alert Viewer System Tray is used by all users connected to Tennessee's ConnecTEN network, which includes students, faculty, and staff at public K-12 schools and goverment employees.
Deliverables
The help system is HTML Help (a .CHM file), which is Microsoft's standard compiled help for client applications. I produced the help using Doc-to-Help.
Responsibilities
I wrote the content, created the online help, and worked with developers to create context-sensitive hooks.
